XML Web Services is the latest entrant to the world of distributed systems and application integration in the enterprise. They hold the promise of revolutionizing the world of computerized commerce, but at the same time, have been assigned a plethora of lofty and possibly unachievable goals.
This seminar will focus on a Java-based introduction to web services and its underlying standards. In particular, we will explore the relationship between the Java 2 Enterprise Edition and web services technologies.

James Kao is a
Senior Technology Partner with
The Middleware Company, a training and consulting company specializing
in enterprise Java technologies, particular web services and Java 2 Enterprise
Edition. He has trained developers and jumpstarted projects in these
technologies at many companies ranging from startups in the Valley to large
Fortune 500 companies.
James Kao earned both his undergraduate and Master of Engineering degrees from
Cornell University and currently lives in Palo Alto.
